Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa is originally from Salleri-Sherga, Solukhumbu, Nepal, and currently resides in Albany, California. A former General Secretary of the United Sherpa Association, he is a longtime community advocate, author, and independent journalist. He has been actively involved in humanitarian, educational, environmental, and community initiatives. Through Himalayan Hope Network, he supports efforts focused on humanitarian assistance, education, healthcare, environmental awareness, climate resilience, and sustainable community development.
